Galveston

On Friday, my best friend Amber was having a bad day, so I did what best friends do and went to Tomball and surprised her. It was such a great needed girls night. We cried and laughed and just had fun. She has been at camp for a month, so we have not really talked or anything. We decided about 11:30 that night, we really wanted to see the sunrise on the beach, so we went to bed. At 4 am we woke up and drove to Galveston to see the sunrise. It was gorgeous, pictures are below. It was such a peaceful place to be as very few people were out and it was nice just to stand and appreciate God's artwork for us! I never seem to take the time and enjoy his beauty. Hope you enjoy.





Of course we had to have the fuel to get home after waking up at 4 am!

SPRING BREAK 2010

I started Spring Break by spending time in Tomball with my great friend Amber. We went to church then drove to her aunt and uncles house to see her little cousin who was visiting from Florida. We did get lost, but I wasn't driving :) Monday we went shopping in Old Town Spring and some in downtown Tomball. It was well needed girl time!!!

Tuesday my mom, grandmother, and I drove to Tyler, to see my aunt and uncle. Wednesday we (minus my uncle, he had to work) went to the Caldwell Zoo, Mrs. Lee's Gardens (it is many acres of daffodils, GORGEOUS), Rose Garden Museum, and my uncle's job.

Need your opinion

I am really thinking about getting my masters. At times I think it is a great idea and then at times I think I am going crazy :) Anyways, SHSU has a program, the one my mom went through, for a masters in Instructional Technology. This is what I really would like to get my masters in, if I get one. The only hold up has been the GRE, I found out last week, they no longer require the GRE! and there is some $8,000 grant I might qualify for, since I teach in a title 1 school. Now I have to decide if I really want to do this. So what do you think?

Prayer Request

It has been a very long time since my last post! This time I have prayer request: One of my students has runaway for the second time. Last time she was gone just the weekend and slept under a bridge then came to school. This time she ran away I guess this weekend and has not returned. She has a tough home life and just needs to be loved. Please pray for her to have a safe return and to be loved by her family.

On another note, school will soon be out! I am very ready for school to be out as the kids have become wild kids! This summer I will be working summer school :) At least it is only 4 weeks!

Being Equipped

I was listening to the radio on the way home, and the lady on the radio had a great quote I thought I would share.

"God does not call the equipped, he equips the called"

So many times we think we cannot do what God has called us to do, because we are not equipped. However, God really calls you to do exactly what he wants you to do, then he equips you to do what he has called you to do.

Why one should not wear baggie pants!

Friday most of my students were gone on a field trip. I had a few in one class and they were playing the card game spoons, but using markers. They were being pretty aggresive with this game. At one point, there were about 4 girls playing and 2 boys. Someone grabs a marker, and for some reason, they just don't grab a marker, the boys dive into the middle. They are both small boys, thankfully. One of them dives and then the other goes in. Well in the process of diving, he lost his pants!!! Thankfully not boxers! However no one else realizes except for me and another student who are watching from a distance. He is laying on the ground with his butt in the air for approximately 30 sec, finally I have to call his name, and ask him to PLEASE pull up his pants!!! He was rather embarrassed, but I informed him, that is why we wear close that are our size, not 4 sizes to large!!!

This has been a really good week! My grandmother had knee replacement surgery on Thursday, and is doing good. She is suppose to get out tomorrow! Please pray for fast recovery and for her coaches to have patience as O.P.S. is something she is diagnosed with (by her family at least)!!!
